Welcome to Paul Carney Arts. I'm an Advanced Skills Art Teacher, Consultant and Artist, with nearly 30 years experience as an artist, designer and teacher of art at Primary and Secondary School level in the North East of England. I've created some great free Art Teaching Resources you can use in your Art room: free art lessons, art ideas and a whole host of other art resources for use in the classroom. There are also some low cost, paid-for art resources on assessment in art, teaching drawing, ICT in art, art skills and the art teacher's handbook for new and experienced teachers of art. Paul is a serving member of the Board of NSEAD (the National Society for Education in Art and Design) and is heavily involved in working with them to develop support materials for the new UK National Curriculum in Art from 2013/14. He has worked as a consultantant to UK Secondary Schools to help improve attainment in GCSE results, develop ICT in art, Questioning Techniques in Art, Assessment at KS3 and 4 and Assessment for Learning. He has also delivered CPD to Primary school's on developing skills and techniques, Creative Numeracy, Auditing art provision and training coordinators of art. He has also worked as a consultant to International schools around the world. Paul regularly gives lectures on art classroom practice and has lectured at; Warwick University, the Baltic Gallery for contemporary art and at the inSEA International congress at Canterbury Christchurch University 2013.
